About Agape Bible Institute

In early 2010, a few Bible-loving friends requested Pastor Jomon Mathew of Revival AG Church, Santacruz, Mumbai, to start a Bible study for them. Accordingly, he started a Bible study in a friend’s house in Kalina with just a few believers. As it grew gradually, it took the shape of a small Bible school named ‘Agape Bible Institute’. Looking to the need and desire of those who wanted to learn the Word of God and do ministry in Mumbai and beyond, Agape Bible Institute (ABI) restructured itself as a unique theological institution with a mission to take theological training to the doorsteps of earnest seekers.

In 2011, Agape Bible Institute started its first learning centers in the city of Mumbai and Kolhapur in India with a vision to raise indigenous missionaries with a passion for missins among their own people groups and localities. The institute has been abundantly blessed and now grown with multiple centers operating in various cities throughout India and in recent past has expanded internationally with new centers operating in France (Paris) and Ivory coast in Africa with more centers in the pipeline. So far over 500 students, across all centers, have graduated from Agape Bible Institute and almost all of those graduated are active in ministry.

 

Since 2020 we have introduced Online mode of education delivering all of the programs online for those unable to attend physical classes. This has enabled students from around the globe to enroll for our programs. We also provide flexible learning opportunities for those unable to attend regular classes.

 

We are delighted open our first learning center in ANZ and Oceania region. The vision remains the same, i.e. to raise and equip men and women with passion and burden to serve the Lord, those who have a vision for ministry but are unable to undergo any training because of family and job commitments or where time is an obstacle in fulfilling their desire to study the Word of God. 

 

We offer Diploma, Bachelors and Masters programs among others. Our curriculam is specifically tailored for indepth theological studies catering to flexible learning options conducting lectures once or twice a week and on rest of the days the students are encouraged to do practical ministry either with their local church or at any other place where God has given them the vision.

 

We have a team of over 50 well qualified and experienced Bible Teachers & Theologians, Visiting professors from some of the well-known theological seminaries, imparting their knowledge and experience to equip our students. Our Emphasis is on academics, spirituality, character formation and ministry preparation through world class program and study materials.

We are a Not for profit organization due to which our fees are very reasonable keeping education accessible to many from developing as well as developed nations while at the same time funding our mission of raising and training of indigenous leaders from within the mission fields and supporting them to establish their ministry. Over the years Agape has educated, trained and supported hundreds of indigenous leaders of who are actively serving the lord among their indigenous group.
